TMI Tuesdays, Dressember, Sex-Trafficking and more…

Good morning! Have you had your coffee/soda/breakfast/exercise/vitamins/whatever-gets-you-going yet? I was sorely tempted to lay back down once the kids left for school, but I chose coffee and caught up on my journaling and read my Bible. I’m reading Isaiah, for the first time that I can remember all the way through.

I’m so excited about the things that are coming up for this blog!!! Here’s a sneak peek:

This week, we’ll finish up the Power of Makeup series!!! In case you’ve missed it, here is Part One, Part Two, Part Three, and Part Four!

Urban Decay Naked 2 colors used

Starting in 2014, every day will have a theme and each week will have a guest writer. If you would like to guest post, please send me an email: blessings @ bethanyjett.com (with no spaces). I have some incredible people lined up and I know you’ll love them!!!

A couple of our new themed days: “Makeup Mondays” and “TMI Tuesdays.” Every Monday we’ll talk about makeup and beauty, including hair and fashion topics as well. Maybe I should change the name to Beauty Mondays, but Makeup Mondays just sounds good.

“TMI Tuesdays” will cover “Too Much Information” topics such as periods, bathroom issues, tampons, sex, body changes, and all the topics that are embarrassing to ask out loud! I’ve been wanting to do this for a looooong time!

TMI Tuesdays pm

I want to tell you the rest of the days, but alas, I have to keep a few secrets! Just know we’ll be talking about boys (friends, boyfriends, fiancés, and husbands), and other relationships, all from a godly perspective.

Also, every day this month, I’ll post my outfit for the day along with the post. I’m participating in Dressember! To learn more, check out www.dressember.net. It’s more than dresses — we’re raising $25,000 for International Justice Mission (IJM), an organization that fights slavery and sex-trafficking.

We have a good friend who is deeply involved with this organization. What I love most about IJM is that along with rescuing those enslaved, they go into the countries and try to change the laws so that they can prosecute the people who are trafficking.

So many times the girls (and boys) are rescued, but their captors get away. One aspect of IJM is making sure they get the laws in place so they can prosecute. I love that.

100% of all monies donated goes directly to IJM. To sponsor or support the cause, go to my Dressember participant page! It’s a great way to do good and counts as a tax deduction!
