Fashion Friday: Flashing the World

I flashed the world yesterday when I got out of my car.

On purpose.

Just kidding! Just kidding! Just kidding!

I was thankful no one was around to witness my less-than-stellar car exit.

Unfortunately, this was not the case for Britney Spears or Paris Hilton.

Is there a proper way to get out of a vehicle without fear of exposing yourself? My skirt was just-above-the-knee length, but when I slid out of the van (yes, a minivan. I know it’s cool), my skirt slid waaaaaay high.

Maybe I should have done this:

down, allowing the car seat to drag my skirt thigh-high. Even if I’d been in a lower-to-the-ground vehicle, I could have kept my legs together and swung them out at the same time.

Wearing shorts or pants make getting out of the car a no-brainer, but we should follow the same rule as wearing a skirt. Otherwise you look like this.

However, there are things to do to keep yourself from flashing everyone in the parking lot.

1. Use an oversized bag to block the view up your skirt.

2. Or, if you want to spend 15 minutes getting out of the car:

3. Have someone stand in front of you to block anyone’s view.
